Create a separate DNSimple account for each client when you manage domains on their behalf. This keeps domains, billing, and access isolated per customer.
Note
This workflow is available on Teams plans and higher. See the differences between plans.
A client you add to an account with Full Access can see and change every resource on that account, including domains, contacts, SSL certificates, billing information, and account details. With Limited Access, they can only manage the domains you assign them.
Enterprise plan customers can use multi-account management to manage multiple separate DNSimple accounts under one contract.
Warning
Each customer must have a separate account. If you add more than one customer to the same account, each customer can manage other customers’ domains.
Creating a separate account for your client
Follow Multiple Accounts Per User to add another account to your user profile.
Inviting your client to DNSimple
Your client needs a DNSimple user to join the account. They can sign up first on the signup page, with their email address or with Google as an identity provider, or create their user when they accept your invitation.
Note
Your client does not need an active subscription or a card on file. They only need a DNSimple user.
Adding clients to the new account
After you subscribe the new account to an eligible plan, add your client to the account.
