Can I Upgrade an SSL Certificate to a Wildcard?

Last updated

No. It is not possible to upgrade a single-name SSL certificate to a wildcard SSL certificate, even if they are issued by the same certificate authority. You must purchase a new wildcard SSL certificate separately.

Refund Policy

If you decide a wildcard SSL certificate better fits your needs within 30 days of purchasing a single-name SSL certificate, contact support and we can refund your initial order so you are only charged for the wildcard. The single-name certificate is revoked when it is refunded, so install the wildcard SSL certificate first.

How to Order a Wildcard SSL Certificate

For help choosing between single-name and wildcard coverage, see How to Choose SSL Certificate Names.
